My Story

Hello, I'm Rebeca Trevino. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, I've called Dallas, Texas, my home since the age of 8, and it's been quite a journey. My love for Latin dance blossomed during my college freshman year, sparking a deep passion that has guided my path ever since.

Under the skillful guidance of Karla Maldonado, I delved into Salsa training On1, laying the foundation for my dance adventure. But my exploration didn't stop there; soon, I found myself enchanted by the intricate beauty of On2 (Mambo/New York style) under the mentorship of Johan Ibanez. This newfound passion brought me to Connecticut a few years ago, where I set out on a transformative journey pursuing a BA degree in Dance & Choreography at Wesleyan University.

During my time at Wesleyan, my dance education expanded across various forms, including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance), Afro-Brazilian, and West African Dance. Seeking continuous growth, I regularly refined my skills in the vibrant dance scene of New York City, training with Mambo experts like Amneris Martinez and Tania Cannarsa.

As a teacher, my approach revolves around boosting confidence, nurturing individuality, fostering artistic expression, and building a strong sense of community. My goal is to empower my students, guiding them towards a more fulfilling and healthier lifestyle through the sheer joy of dance. Join me on this rhythmic journey, where every step is a celebration of self-discovery and collective harmony.
